If I Had A Crew

I’ve just watched a video from Merphy Napier in which she talks about who her pirate crew members are. I think it’s fun and I would like to try to create one myself. So the rules here are:
- It can’t be a straw hat. I’m definitely sure they won’t be joining my crew 😂
- My crews are transcending time, meaning I can pick anyone even if they already died in the main story. I’m gonna recruit them based on the latest state of the story that they are in.
- Luffy had 9 crew members, I might not (we’ll see).
- I’m not gonna pick my crew based on the role job that Luffy had in his crew (swordmaster, navigator, …, helmsman, you get it…). I’m only gonna fill in the role job which I think is essential in a voyage. We’re gonna leave out the nice-to-have 😜
With that being said, let’s get started!
1. Right-hand man: Kuzan
I think this one is pretty obvious, I love Kuzan (not Aokiji since he’s not an admiral anymore). He’s the one character that I vibed the most. He’s with Blackbeard now, but I’m hoping I can tempt him to join my crew since we’re both lazy-ass people. He’s strong. He’s got hie-hie no mi. His power will play a major part in defending our ship with an ice wall. With him as my right-hand man, I can picture we’re just gonna nap 3 hours every day without knowing which island we’re headed to. That would be very nice 😌
2. Navigator (?): Rosinante
I love Corazon… ups, I mean Rosinante. I’m hoping he can join my crew as a navigator. Since he can travel with Law in a small boat, I’m sure he can navigate an actual ship, am I right? Ah, who am I kidding? Even if he can’t be a navigator, I still want him on my crew 😃 He’s honorable. He’s ridiculous. His nagi-nagi no mi is so underestimated, but I think it’s a great power for espionage and tactical advantage. Just hoping he will not double-cross me with the Marines 🤞
3. Yamato
We gotta have females in the crew, right? And this one is not only pretty but also very strong. I’m gonna bait her with the adventure that she desperately wants. Wolf is my favorite animal, and she’s a mythical wolf, guys! Inu-inu no mi model: Okuchi no Makami. I can’t wait to see her bickering with Kuzan resulting in an ice vs ice battle situation. She’s like my Sanji to my Zorro.
4. Cook (?): Katakuri
I know this one is a lil’ bit far-fetched. But he’s been living in a place where foods are literally everywhere. Plus his sisters are cooks, right? He should be picking up some of the skills then, I thought. 🤔 Even if he can’t cook, we still can fill up our stomachs with mochi 😆 I want him to join my crew cause he’s an honorable man. He’s got a special paramecia type mochi-mochi no mi. He’s got Conquerors Haki. He mastered his Observation Haki to a point where he can look into the future. He’s perfect. Looking forward to spending an afternoon merienda munching donuts with you, sir Kata!
5. Doctor: Aladine
It used to be Doctorine, but I’ve decided to replace her with Aladine (sorry doc, please don’t throw an ax at me). I just love his design. He’s a merman holding a Trisula and he’s Jinbe’s first mate. He’s strong enough to go toe to toe with Oven. He also would be a very helpful hand for our devil fruit users when they fell into the water. For all that reason, he deserves a spot on my ship.
6. Pink Ranger: Reiju
I love power rangers since I was a kid, and she’s basically the Kimberly in One Piece. She’s also a kind-hearted big sister, and she doesn’t get her emotion wiped like his brothers. She’s like Sanji, but with poison power. I just have to be careful around her if I don’t want to catch some of the poison 😰 She can help our doctor extract poisons or venoms if one of the crews suffers from it. And surprisingly… we share the same birthday! I think it’s fate at this point.
There you go, I think that would be my crew then. My crew consists of honorable and kind-hearted men. If you notice, there’s no one who could read the Poneglyphs in my crew and that’s because I don’t care for it. I mean… I desperately wanna know what happened in the 800-year void, but I think that’s a job for Luffy’s crew to find, leave it to them. I just wanna have a great adventure 😀
