Ever heard of this phrase?

If you and your partner have similar face, then it is meant to be.

Sounds magical, right? Straight outta fairy tales. Well, I think it’s bullsh*t 💩 I think it’s the other way around. It’s not that because you and your partner share similar facial features and you're connected with the red thread of fate, I think it’s more like, as a human being… we’re just attracted to things that we are familiar with.

I’m no scientist, I didn’t even research this thing. But isn’t it logical? If we look at it from the scientific standpoint — isn’t the human race attracted to the things they’re more familiar with? Like for example, why do you think at election time, there are so many campaign posters with the candidate’s face? It’s to get you “familiar” with their face subconsciously. Hoping that you will choose them in time for the election. It’s also the same principle with ads. Why do you think ads get repeated over and over again? It’s to plant into your mind their products, their catchphrases so that in time you need to buy — you choose the one you are already “familiar” with, the one that has been running around your mind forever.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t bash the idea of “the one”. I’m just saying that the thought process of if you and your partner have similar facial structure means that you guys are meant to be… is a logical fallacy. I believe… soulmates are… made. Not because of similar traits then 2 people will be bound forever, you know?

What are your thoughts?
